TESTIMONIAL:

My friend and I went on the Broadway tour a few weeks before Christmas.  The entire trip was just stupendous!

Everything planned by Broadway Across America and CTI was fantastic, from the excellent seats to all shows, great choices of restaurants, a wonderful and very unique hotel, etc, etc.   We loved it and will most likely go again

PACKAGE DESCRIPTION:

Broadway Across America is excited to introduce its 15th Anniversary celebration of its “Christmas in New York” excursion – an all-time favorite among our subscribers. Each year your experience pairs two popular Broadway shows with two quintessential New York City Christmas experiences – The Radio City Christmas Spectacular and the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting – to create an unforgettable New York City getaway.

There is nothing quite like New York City during the Christmas season. Peruse the impeccably decorated shops on 5th Avenue. If we are fortunate, some gently falling snow, a cup of hot chocolate… perhaps a cozy café table watching the ice skaters in Bryant Park or at Rockefeller Center.

This package has been thoughtfully put together to immerse you in the magic of the Christmas season in New York City – not to mention access to fantastic Broadway shows while you are here!

Your first evening in New York features an elegant welcome dinner full of Christmas ambiance with your fellow travelers, featuring delectable appetizers and side dishes, exquisite entrée selections, flowing wine and cocktails and dessert.

From there it is on to the exhilaration and wonder of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, starring the world-famous Radio City Rockettes!  The Spectacular is dazzlingly grand and genuinely moving, an enduring tradition which has awed and inspired for more than 90 years.

Complimenting an intimate and exquisite Q & A lunch at Sardi’s, your second day and third days feature choices from among the top musicals and plays on Broadway:

  • Gypsy: Audra McDonald returns to Broadway in the classic musical from Arthur Laurents, Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim
  • The Outsiders: 2024 Tony Best New Musical based on S.E. Hinton’s landmark novel
  • Hell’s Kitchen: 13-time Tony Award nominee including Best New Musical featuring the music and lyrics from 16-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys
  • Suffs: 2-time Tony Award winner, Shaina Taub’s epic new musical tells the story of suffragists as they fight for women’s right to vote
  • Water for Elephants, the new musical based on Sara Gruen’s best seller and one of Broadway’s most enthralling shows of 2024
  • Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club: Dramatically reimagined and restaged, Eddie Redmayne & Gayle Rankin star in the Broadway revival of Kander & Ebb’s classic musical
  • Sunset Boulevard: A smash hit in the West End, Nicole Scherzinger arrives from London with this thrilling production
  • Stereophonic: 5-time Tony Award-winner, a new play about a band on the brink of blowing up

Besides the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and your two Broadway shows, we have so much more in store for you!

If it’s staged as it traditionally has been, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting will hold center stage on the second evening.  This is not a ticketed event and many of our guests through the years have chosen to view the tree in all its glory on a subsequent night when it’s already lit.

Note:  Of course, the second set of dates does not coincide with the tree lighting itself since that will have taken place the week prior.

Your Christmas in New York experience is capped with an insiders’ tour of Radio Music Hall.

Projected as groups of 30 to 50, your package features elegant full-service accommodations a short stroll from Times Square, private town car/SUV service, round trip airfare, lunch at a famed Broadway hotspot and some behind-the-scenes exclusives while every detail of your trip is attended to by our dedicated staff.

For the holiday season there’s truly no better place to be than New York City with ideal timing for shopping and seeing the sights while the Big Apple is decked out in its holiday finest.

Come join Broadway Across America for this unforgettable experience!

Show Overviews:

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular

Make time for joy this season at the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes.  There is no better place than Radio City Music Hall to share joy, laughter, and lasting memories as you take in the legendary precision and grace of the Rockettes. The Christmas Spectacular is sure to become an unforgettable part of your Christmas tradition.

The Outsiders

In Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1967, the hardened hearts and aching souls of Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade and their chosen family of ‘outsiders’ are in a fight for survival and a quest for purpose in a world that may never accept them. A story of the bonds that brothers share and the hopes we all hold on to, this gripping new musical reinvigorates the timeless tale of ‘haves and have nots’, of protecting what’s yours and fighting for what could be.

Water for Elephants

The critically acclaimed bestselling novel Water For Elephants comes to vivid life on Broadway in a unique, spectacle-filled new musical.

After losing what matters most, a young man jumps a moving train unsure of where the road will take him and finds a new home with the remarkable crew of a traveling circus, and a life—and love—beyond his wildest dreams. Seen through the eyes of his older self, his adventure becomes a poignant reminder that if you choose the ride, life can begin again at any age.

Directed by Tony Award®️ nominee Jessica Stone (Kimberly Akimbo), with a book by three-time Tony nominee Rick Elice (Jersey Boys, Peter and the Starcatcher) adapted from Sara Gruen’s novel, and a soaring score by the acclaimed PigPen Theatre Co., Water For Elephants unites innovative stagecraft with the very best of Broadway talent in an authentic and deeply moving new musical that invites us all to give ourselves to the unknown.

Cabaret

Willkommen. Bienvenue. Welcome to the Kit Kat Club. Home to an intimate and electrifying new production of Cabaret. Experience this groundbreaking musical like never before.

The denizens of the Kit Kat Club have created a decadent sanctuary inside Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre, where artists and performers, misfits and outsiders rule the night. Step inside their world. This is Berlin. Relax. Loosen up. Be yourself.

London’s hottest ticket arrives on Broadway this Spring with Academy® and Tony Award® winner Eddie Redmayne reprising his Olivier Award-winning performance as the Emcee, and introducing Gayle Rankin as the Toast of Mayfair, Sally Bowles.

Gypsy

Gypsy is the landmark Broadway musical about a domineering mother in the early 20th Century who will do anything to make her young daughters Vaudeville stars. Inspired by the early life of stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, this new production is directed by George C. Wolfe and choreographed by Camille A. Brown, and is the musical that introduced the hit songs “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” “Let Me Entertain You,“ and “You Gotta Get a Gimmick.”

Suffs

Following a sold-out, extended run at The Public Theater, Suffs arrives on Broadway next spring — and not a moment too soon. From the singular mind of Shaina Taub, this “remarkable, epic new musical” (Variety), boldly explores the victories and failures of a struggle for equality that’s far from over.

It’s 1913 and the women’s movement is heating up in America, anchored by the suffragists — “Suffs,” as they call themselves — and their relentless pursuit of the right to vote. Reaching across and against generational, racial, and class divides, these brilliant, flawed women entertain and inspire us with the story of their hard-won victory in an ongoing fight. So much has changed since the passing of the Nineteenth Amendment over a century ago, and yet we’re reminded sometimes we need to look back, in order to march fearlessly into the future.

Sunset Boulevard
Haunted by her memories and dreams, movie star Norma Desmond yearns to return to the big screen. A struggling screenwriter who can’t sell his scripts to the Hollywood studios may be her only hope, until their dangerous and compelling relationship leads to disastrous circumstances. Drenched in champagne and cynicism, Sunset Boulevard scrutinizes the ambitions and frustrations of its characters and their intoxicating need for fame and adoration.

Stereophonic
Stereophonic mines the agony and the ecstasy of creation as it zooms in on a music studio in 1976, where an up-and-coming rock band finds itself on the cusp of superstardom. Written by David Adjmi, directed by Daniel Aukin, and featuring original music by Arcade Fire’s Will Butler, this electrifying new play takes audiences inside the powder keg process of a band on the brink of blowing up.
